One Eye Open!

Tonight, Kyara opened one of her eyes when I was reading The Cat in the Hat to her. Her face has been and still is extremely swollen, but I was/am SO eccstatic to see a little sliver of an eyeball. Kyara has been weaned more on the breathing tube and is doing great. Tomorrow they are planning to do "sprints" to excercise her diaphragm and get her ready to remove the tube. Hooray!!

The drain in her back is having difficulty draining. The collection of fluid is so thick, it is not moving through the tube very well. The doctors put in TPA, the clot buster, so we are waiting to see if that will help.

Hope everyone is doing well, thank you for all of the thought, prayers, and positive comments on the blog. We still have a long road, but we are moving forward. Goodnight!

Great news! Won't be long now and you guys will be on your way back home. I know it seems impossible to consider now, but everything happens for a reason. Continue to be strong and faithful! A little bit better every day:)

All the respect in the world!

Good Moring Genie,
Good to hear the the improvement!! I hope Kyara had a good night and was able to rest(you try to rest when Kyara is resting;Mom needs to take care of herself). I know you are looking forward to Gunars and Skylar coming tomorrow and I know they are looking forward to seeing you guys! Stay strong, and please give Kyara a kiss and tell her that I miss her!

Love to all

God is good all the time!!! He will continue to heal Kyara's body and will continue to give you all strength and hope during this time in your lives. Creighton says he wishes he could hug her. He prays to Jesus to help her be brave. We are praying for you daily.
