Back in Georgia!

Kyara had her first Lear Jet experience! We were picked up at 11:45am. Too bad she didn't enjoy it. She stormed the whole way and was very uncomfortable, but we made it. We were met a Hartsfield Jackson International Airport by a fancy dancy Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Ambulance. It was one strictly for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), aka Scottish Rite. We got into the PICU at 4pm and it has been very busy ever since. Kyara has been storming all day and is still unhappy. Last night it's as if she knew that she was going on a airplane and did not like it. Starting last night she has been unhappy.

We understand that she will remain in the PICU for several days. There are no kids allowed. Skylar was not allowed to see Kyara. Gunars and Luz Estela also came and they stayed with Kyara while I ate dinner with Skylar. After the Doctors have a better feel for Kyara, she will be transfered to the Rehab floor.

Bunny, Pop and Kassey are still driving somewhere in Kentucky. They plan to drive all the way to Georgia.

Yay... way to go, Kyara! So glad you made it back to Georgia! (Learjet, by the way, is here in Wichita.)

We will pray that Kyara becomes more calm and comfortable and can start up rehab soon! Also praying for Kassey, Grandma, and Grandpa to make it back safe and sound. We will be thinking of you as you get back to a new routine at home. We are hopeful that Kyara will make great strides in her recovery now that she is back in Atlanta!

Love,
Michelle

I am so happy that you guys are safe and sound back here in GA! I know that you must be relieved and excited to see Skyler and Gunars. Kyara remains in my thoughts and prayers as do all of you. Now once Kyara gets used to the new place she will be able to make improvements. I will be thinking of you. Beth

Welcome Home!!! I'm sure the trip wore you both out, but in a couple of days Kyara will be settled into her new surroundings and then her recovery will once again show progress. Don't forget you now have many friends and family nearby, so please, don't be afraid to let us know what you need or how we can help. I bet Skylar will have sweet dreams tonight, knowing that her Mama and Kyara are back in town. She has handled this situation like a champion. I know you are sooo proud of her. We will say a special prayer of Thanks and also for a safe trip home for the Grandparents and Kassey.

We are extremely happy to learn that you are back in Georgia, at least closer to home. Kyara may be unhappy with the move, but it's for her own good and the doctors there will take incredibly good care of her. We pray that the rest of your family arrives back home safe and sound soon enough. It has certainly been quite an ordeal in Michigan, but now you're closer to home and hopefully that will inspire Kyara's speedy recovery. God bless the Dzenis family.

Whoo Hoo! Welcome home! I'm so glad that you are reunited with Gunnars and Skylar again. It will be a little easier to get through the rest of her recovery without the distance factor. We pray that Kassey and company made it back safely and will continue to pray for Kyaras recovery.
