First Week Back

When Kyara is being moved she is very calm. We go for walks every day in her wheel chair. We stretch her every day. These are things she seems to enjoy and doesn't fuss. We also put her in a swimming pool over the weekend and she was calm and relaxed as well. She has always liked being in the water. Otherwise Kyara is fussing. It's like a soft cry. Skylar and Kassey are taking all of this in stride.

In other news, I'm currently in the hospital with a kidney infection. I thought I had a pulled muscle from lifting Kyara up so much, but when the high fevers kicked in my mom made me go to the Urgent Care. Long story short, I'm in the hospital and will most likely be here until Wednesday.

To end in a positive note, Kyara is controlling her head up better. It doesn't flop all over the place. She still can't hold it up for long periods of time, but she is definitely controlling it better and getting stronger.

It sounds like the family is handling the transition well, and I'm glad to hear that Kyara has better head control! Baby steps...

Hoping that you will get better soon. Take good care of yourself!

We think of you often and keep Kyara and your family in our daily prayers.

We are all still praying for your whole family every day... I'll add your kidneys to the list too. God is good and you will get through this. I am praying specifically that Kyara is getting more comfortable with her surroundings every day and that she will be able to find more ways to effectively communicate with you all without the crying/moaning. What a praise that she is holding her head up better. Way to go, Kyara!

Genie so sorry to hear you are in the hospital, but maybe it's just God's way of giving you a much needed rest. He knew you wouldn't just take a break without his intervention. After you recooperate you will be refreshed and ready to face things head on again. Would love to give a helping hand anytime you need it. Let us know, okay?
Glad to hear that Kyara is still making progress and taking those baby steps. Hopefully some of the moaning/crying will lessen as she settles back into the routines of being home again and her comunication skills improve.
You are all in our prayers
