A quick update...
It is 2:00am and I am having a hard time sleeping here. Kyara is doing fine. In fact, I would say she is improving. The pneumotosis (air in the lining of her colon) is finally starting to go away. The air in her colon is better, too. She is not as distended!! Yippee!!
Gunars went to Scottish Rite today to see the rehab facility and he was impressed with it. We just have to get Kyara stable here so we can head home to GEORGIA!
Please keep up the prayers for Kyara and for our family. I feel we are all getting stronger by the day!

So glad to hear about the plans for GEORGIA! Hopefully, you got some "shut eye" but I suspect that the HOPE word for today--ENCOURAGED--kept you awake. Gotta love the south!! Can't wait to see you back here again, it is nice to hear that Kyara is beginning to do better and is getting closer everyday to coming home, grow those roots, grow! I woke up in the middle of the night last night at about 3:00am and was praying for you all, God knew that you needed it right then. :)

Praise God that Kyara is doing better. We are praying for your whole family here in Colorado. God does know what he is doing, have faith. He is a father too, as am I.
Hope you got a few hrs sleep. Glad to hear Kyara is improving. I think this trip back to the PICU was actually a step forward, not a set back. Sounds like they may be starting to figure out some of the issues and get her on the right track. Very exciting news about SR and making plans to come home. I know it will be a while, but at least it is in the works!!!!!
